On the 18th of September 2008 the Wein.Genuss.Hotel Pössnitzberg was ceremoniously inaugurated. With the opening of this Genussdestination a new attraction was made available to travellers in the south of the Naturpark Südsteirisches Weinland.
The new hotel with its 29 rooms, eleven suites and two seminar rooms provides all the facilities required for private and business trips in one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the wide spaces of the Rebland in southern Styria.

For relaxation and recuperation the hotel Wein.Genuss.Hotel Pössnitzberg provides it guests with a heated outdoor pool as well as the Wohlfühl-Studio Iris with its very special, designed to reflect the basic philosophy of the hotel, programme: "Vinoble Cosmetics" offers many treatments and applications with pure natural extracts from grapes and vines.

The "Treatments Vinoble" provide a wonderful invigoration for body, mind and soul and due to this also better appearance.
The Wein.Genuss.Hotel Pössnitzberg is wholly designed for indulging the desires of gourmets. There are many opportunities for wine tasting in the adjoining winery Weingut Tscheppe, and the Kreuzwirt which is only a few paces from the hotel offers first class cuisine.
The staff of the Wein.Genuss.Hotel Pössnitzberg gladly offers expert support to their guests regarding the organisation of culinary excursions and trips, which are a special treat for wine aficionados.
The Pössnitzberg is situated in the community of Glanz on the wine trail which is in the southern part of the Leutschacher Rebenland. The geographical position "Czamillonberg" was one of the first documented plantings of grapevines in the region, and this makes the Pössnitzberg one of the oldest traditional locations in the Styrian wine culture.

Initiated by the brothers Erich and Walter Polz the town has experienced a glorious renaissance. The first step was the purchase and extension of the winery Weingut Tscheppe in 2002 followed by the reanimation of the adjoining property "Kreuzwirt", formerly a well-known country inn, which had fallen into oblivion.
With completion of the construction of the Wein.Genuss.Hotel a wide range of pleasures; wine experience, comfortable accommodation and first class gastronomy, has been accomplished.

The Polz brothers are counted as some of the most successful winemakers in Austria having won many awards and competitions. Winemaking alone is too little for them though.
Lifestyle and gourmet culture is also – or above all – important to these renowned vintners.
With the cultivation of the vineyards of the Episcopal Wine Cellar of Castle Seggau the brothers Polz have dedicated themselves to the classic Styrian style of winemaking, and in their partnership with the Weingut Miro Vino on the Jeruzalemer Weinstraße (Jeruzalem Wine Trail) they are carrying out a groundbreaking project for the cause of gourmet culture.
First and foremost, with the wines of the Estate Erich und Walter Polz, they are sending a message about the quality of Austrian and Styrian wines to the best gastronomic addresses and out on into the whole world.  That they still have strong contact to their own location despite all these various interests is shown in the brothers' close connection to their Polz-Buschenschank, a typically Styrian wine tavern.
Not the least of the Polz brothers' creations is a wine logistics centre called Vinofakturen in Ehrenhausen-Vogau which is stocked with selected wines and also has a delicatessen – a most recommendable address as far as southern Styrian gourmet culture in its many variations is concerned.
At the same time, in cooperation with the leading local Hotelier Florian Weitzer, the first "Vinofaktur Graz" namely the restaurant "Der Steirer" was created. Here too, specialities from the southern Styrian wineland and other tasteful and tasty Styrian products are on offer in a shop-in-shop setup.
